Eco Friendly Product List

2020 should be the year that we all decide to be more environmentally conscious. This means thinking about all the plastic that we consume and what kind of toxic chemicals we put back into nature.

I have started my eco journey and tested many different products to replace the non eco products I had at home. These are the products that I found work the best and have the best value. Many of them you can also subscribe and save on Amazon to save you money and give you one less thing to worry about.

Eco Daily’s Plastic Free Organic Q-Tip

I love these Q-Tips because they have a rounded side and a pointed side to get the tiny cleaning jobs like your keyboard. They are made with bamboo instead of plastic and have 100% organic cotton. The box they come in is also 100% recyclable and biodegradable.

Quilted Northern Eco Comfort Mega Rolls

I have yet to find a toilet paper product that is 100% eco friendly without sacrificing my confort. Most of the products I’ve tried have been single ply, scratchy, or doesn’t hold up.

Quilted Northern has gone the eco friendly route with their new eco comfort toilet paper. For each tree that they use, they plant three more. They also have energy efficient manufacturing.

I save 15% by subscribing monthly and get a 4 pack (24 rolls) for only $24. At only $1 per roll, saving the planet has never felt cheaper!

Caboo’s Natural Bamboo Baby Wipes

I am a huge fan of baby wipes, and I don’t even have a baby! I do however have two dogs and a husband so messes happen on a pretty regular basis. These baby wipes are tree free and made with sustainable bamboo. Bamboo only takes 3-4 months to grow back, while a regular tree can take 30 years.

They are alcohol free, chlorine free, paraben free, formaldehyde free, phthalates free, and unscented. No more unknown chemicals and strange rashes. I subscribe to the 3 pack monthly and save 15%, making this usually expensive item only $18.

Kitchen Products

Seventh Generation Paper Towels

These Seventh Generation Paper Towels are 100% recycled paper and also happen to have recycled plastic wrap and is mailed in a recycled box. The company claims “if every household in the US replaced one 6 pack of 140 sheet virgin fiber paper towels with this product we could help save 2,900,00 trees!”

They work just as well if not better than the big brand companies, and you can buy in bulk! I subscribed to a monthly order so I don’t have to think about it and saved even more money.

Ecos Earth Friendly All Purpose Cleaner

I am extremely picky when it comes to my cleaning sprays because of my two pitbulls. When Cali was a puppy I sprayed a chemical cleaner and she developed a harsh cough for a few hours after I finished cleaning.

This earth friendly cleaner is made from renewable plant extracts and is 100% biodegradable. It leaves a nice fresh scent of parsley in your home instead of those harsh chemical smells. Did you know that using some chemical cleaners once is worse on your lungs than smoking an entire pack of cigarettes? That fact alone should make you want to switch. Now I can be guilty free when cleaning around my family.

Stack Man’s Biodegradable 9″ Paper Plates

I really do try to use regular dishes when I can but sometimes I get sick of doing dishes and these are my green solution. Stack Man has a whole line of paper dinnerware including bowls and cutlery.

The plates are 100% biodegradable and compostable since they are made with sugar cane fibers. They can be used with hot or cold food, and are stronger than any paper plate I’ve ever used. These are also perfect for those summer BBQ’s and other social events you’ll be hosting. Parties can be eco friendly too!

Repurpose Compostable’s Biodegradable Cups

At only $10, these clear solo cups are made from plant based materials and are 100% biodegradable. The are BPI certified and BPA free, and they generate less CO2 than the regular red solo cup. I get the 50 count but they have more if you need it.

My husband loves using plastic ups no matter how much I try to get him to use glass, so this was my solution for meeting in the middle. They’re good for cold and hot beverages and seem stronger than a red solo cup. If I can stop at least 365 red solo cups from polluting the ocean every year, I’ll do it with these cups.

Ayotee’s Heavy Duty Compostable Trash Bags

What’s the good of having biodegradable anything if you just throw it in a plastic trash bag? The garbage inside will stay trapped for as long as the bag exists, which could take hundreds of years.

These super durable bags are made from a plant starch extract and can even hold liquids. Many people who reviewed this product use it for their compost bucket and once their done they take the whole bag and throw it into their compost pile. I get the 13 gallon bags that come in a box of 60 for $23 if you subscribe and save.

Laundry Products

Eco Conscious Tide

Tide has been my favorite laundry detergent for years but recently they have stepped up their game with their new boxed detergent. This box uses 60% less plastic then their normal detergent jugs, and also has 30% less water, leaving more for the environment.

This box holds enough detergent for 96 loads, which usually covers my family of two humans and two pit bulls for a month and a half. I subscribed to this as well and saved 15% off!

Ecoigy’s Wool Dryer Balls

One of the best green inventions out there, these wool dryer balls take dryer sheets out of the equation. They shorten drying time, last for thousands of loads, and are 100% biodegradable. They’re also under $10. Sounds like money saved to me!
